There is a certain player that always shows up on the right side of the transfer search page that will never be sold for his current price, however his owner obviously tries to bumhunt and find someone dumb enough to overpay for this guy.

I guess I only see this certain player because he fits some criteria that would match my teams needs, but I guess there are many managers who use this strategy of listing players above value just to score a lucky strike and get more money than in an open auction.

In my opinion sb. should be done about this, best solution would be to either introduce a listing fee for consecutive listings (player unsold and listed again at the same price) or force the owner to list the player at a significantly lower amount if the players is listed again with in a week or so.

I have suggested this a few time in the past. So I agree. Will there be any changes this time... I doubt it.

How long have you been looking for the guy with teh skills you want? I mean seems like you feel he is spamming you with an overpriced player that just happens to be the type of player you are looking for but can't find at the price you want...

So maybe you are the one looking to steal a player for cheap in an off hour when somebody didn't know what they were doing listed to cheap, to expire at an off hour, or you wait for a team to go bot and score with a FA.

If something is done to prevent people from listing than something shoudl be done to prevent people from looking at the TL all day, off hours, to peg players too cheap.

Like maybe a fee for listing and a fee for looking at available deals. In real ball it wouldn't be free to search or list players, you'd have to hire someone to do both.

maybe something like the draft system. Pay for a an agent who represents the team. Teh better the agent the more players you can list each which and the more you can search for.

Or just leave it the way it is and accept that its an economy where people sell and buy at prices they choose for themself.

What you are doing here, is the perfect way to kill a suggestion - always blame teh user. As a matter of fact teh only reason I could need this dude is his nationality... and if you think that a market economy works like that, you should look it up on wikipedia...

if he didn't sell that often for the asked price, obviously the price is to high.

this would ruin the market, because cheap players should pop into the eyes that bidders will raise the price to a normal value. if you hide them, the price will collapse.

Overall a small listing fee, would make searching the transferlist more enjoyable.(even when they pay it indirect through the survey already, so maybe they just had to learn that this will cost them money)

I disagree. No listing fee is what makes market here work. That and rough estimation by TPE. On other managers you have problems to guess the right price when you are new and want to sold someone. Here you can get to theright numebr by re-listing on transfer list for free. I don't like games when you are punished for not living on market knowing how much transfer value is at the moment. I think any kind of listing fee would be step back.

I agree with rest.

I don't know what is happening in the OP's case but it is pretty common practice that if you list a player with higuh price, you'll get offers via BB-Mail resulting in finding the niveau for the right price, right time. So many times I would suspect that high price means more of "this player player you can have, we can talk" than waiting for misclicking noobie. I have seen prices like 100M. nobody expects someone would have that amount of money, so that is either what I described or someone is just having unusual kind of fun.

First of all, I find it really funny that you try to insult me (greedy and stupid) and at the same time you are the one who does not understand sarcasm... ;) :p ^^

If sb. lists a player 6 times for the same price and does not sell them he a) is an idiot b) tries to find an idiot customer and thats simply not how a market works, because in the real world the idiot sellers go broke and the idiot buyers are a rare species.

What sense does an auction system have if it is recommended to list players at your desired selling price anyway?

For me this suggestion is done, almost all suggestions are killed by some random user who enters the thread and dumps some ******** about how the current state is perfect and its the users fault anyway (greedy, stupid, looking for the wrong players...) ^^ ;) :p

No need to try insult people (Knecht in this case) especially if you believe in existence of market in communism.

also in countrys without communism, selling staff is nearly always combined with cost independet from succesful or non succesful trys.

You need to pay storage, personal(or own effort), a marketing plattform(a store, or ebay etc.).

To say that we end up in communism when listening players cost money, bring me to the conclusion that the communist had won the cold war.

btw: Knecht watch your language a bit.
