Hi!
Can anyone explain how 3-2 zone would be better (or different) against R'n'G than M2M? It's not like there'll be lots of "motion" in the offence, so it shouldn't really be so hard to stay in front of players with M2M. I guess the only difference would be if PF or C will jack it up, they'll be defended by guards. And if that's the case, why would rebounding suffer in 3-2 if your PF and C stay near the rim? Am I missing something?
Thank you!

The small forward moves outside, so that decreases his role in helping with rebounding. It boosts OD, but due to no inside help, it lessens inside ratings.

the perimeter is more crowded with players normally and i don't think that run and gun teams don't move, just because they take early shots.

Attacking SF is on the outside most of the time playing R'n'G, so defensive SF would have to be there as well playing M2M. The only difference I see is 3-2 team would be switching on D, which would make no difference if PG, SG and SF all had the same OD.
But if I have good rebounders at PF and C, and poor at SF, SG, PG spots, wouldn't be better if the former stayed near the rim all the time like in 3-2, instead of a PF chasing attacking "r'n'g" PF outside like in m2m?

GM!
As an outside guru, until what level do you train JR to have Proficient Outside Scoring ratings? My next opponent have two 50 000 SGs, which I suspect will murder me regardless of whether I play m2m or 3-2 zone. But still it'd be helpful to estimate their skills..
Thank you!

Wouldn't zone D hide a weak defensive player more than m2m?
