Has there been a change in the game engine? I'm having a terrible time getting 48 minutes for my centers. i play 9 players; use Strictly Follow Depth Chart and put my center in all three positions but the center is subbed out. Twice he's had 46 minutes while my SF was subbed in. Last game was a blowout and he only got 33 minutes.

I noticed something very similar, and also in games where I blew out my opponent. But having little experience, I chalked it up to actually playing meaningful league games versus scrimmage/cup game where I got blown out.

Maybe other folks could chime in with their experiences/thoughts?

There is a point in trying to get all 3 48 minutes as long as you go into it knowing you may have to short 1 guy minutes if things don't go well. If your first game your #1 trainee gets his 48 then you know you're safe to try and get 3 trainees all 48 minutes. If something goes wrong there, then you can adjust putting in your 3rd trainee for the whole game in your scrimmage/cup game.

To the OP: unfortunately stuff like that does happen. This week for instance my guy was en route to 48 minutes but got subbed out with 35 seconds to go in the game and only got credited for 47 minutes lol.

I had numerous experience before that my guy get taken out coz blow out game. I have put in 5 players only for each game since then. I dont like this way as my teams' result has been bad (mainly due to being tired in the second half). Also if one player foul out or injured, the lucky fan come in and he sucks.but it's the best way I can think of to get my guy 48+ mins. I really dont understand why strictly follow the depth chart will still lead to a player being substituted, even in a blowout game. I think the game engine needs to be improved so that the coach really does what i order him.

have you set your trainee as backup and reserve? If you don't, the coach does assign these at will, even with strictly follow depth chart...

Yes, and he still only got 33 minutes. Presumably this was because I won by 50 points.
