Hey hey :)

I bought a new player, which is a SF now. His skills:

5099$
Age: 18
DMI:
Height: 6'0
Potential: Superstar
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: strong - Jump Range: average

Outside Def.: mediocre - Handling: respectable

Driving: inept - Passing: mediocre

Inside Shot: atrocious - Inside Def.: respectable

Rebounding: mediocre - Shot Blocking: awful

Stamina: awful - Free Throw: atrocious

Experience: atrocious

Sooo that's it, could you give me some advices how should i train him? Is it possible to train him as a PG? Thanks a lot.

Wow, nice prospect. I really like his height. Very suitable for a guard (his IS is a drawback however...).
I'd start off by bringing OD and passing up at the same time. Do one position training. The OD training takes place at PG, so it hurts to have a PG whose passing is at mediocre, this is why I suggest that you bring OD and passing together.
HOWEVER, if you're only planning to play him for scrimmage (cup games) and get his 48+ minutes training, then I'd say that get OD as high as prominent or so. That'll probably take 8-9 weeks I'm guessing (if you have lvl 4 trainer or above). Then for the rest of the season you could train passing.
Stamina and FT need some work too, this can be done during the all star weekend and during the off-season processing.

you're basically right, but I think these pops may come a little easier - by training JS and 1 on 1 not for Guards but Forwards in his case. at least two of these three pops should be attainable that way.

Ooh okay, then I will try to increase IS first by training 1on1 and after that passing and defense and so on...
Buut now my players have some free time and for me it's party-time. :D

Thanks a lot guys. :)

While I value IS on guards a lot, how long will it take to pop for a 6'0 guy. I'm pretty sure it'll take the rest of the season doing 1on1 for Forwards to get it to inept.

I would rather take Prominent OD, cause you can find 19yo draftee with mediocre OD, PA and inept IS, you don't need to waste a year.
