My plan is to train ID to maybe prominent, then IS until the same, then SB and RB to strong

you won't need to train SB or RB if your goal is to get them to strong... rather, if you can do it, try to get all of his inside skills a bit further, so he can actually play PF. Once you're there, pound his JS to make him a good outside PF.

Just curious about this. What sort of jump range do you need for a decent outside PF?

Asking cause I have a PF guy with strong JS (think he was being auto trained during his owner's absence) but just pitiful JR.
Is driving a consideration in whether he'd be good?

JR is not crucial for a PF, but it's pretty nice to have. Pitiful won't hurt too much, but getting it up to mediocre or so would be a good idea.

I consider Driving important for a Forward. It's cheap, too. But yes, you'll want some driving for a Forward, not only to reduce .turnovers (1 on 1 does also train handling considerably), but also to get easy open layups. That's particularly true for fast-paced teams, but even with slow pace you want some slashing from your PF.

Thanks Mathcorejay. I'm still learning about how skills interact with one another, with the different positions, and the different offensive tactics. I still don't have a great handle on it all, but every little bit helps.

Sell him. You'll spend too much time and nerves training his IS and ID. Buy a trainee with main skills at respectable level if possible. If you continue to train him, in 2-3 seasons he could be average but by that time he'd be too weak for your team.

Casu is BY FAR your best trainee. I would focus on jump shot and inside D for now.
