today i had round 5 in cup game
i was excpecting a easy game since i played a team that Managed by a computerized player (aka bot)
to my surprise it wasnt like that at all
i lost after 3 over times and was more surprized to see bot pulls team rate like that team did
Outside Scoring: mediocre (low)
Inside Scoring: awful (low)
Perimeter Defense: inept (medium)
Inside Defense: inept (low)
Rebounding: inept (low)
Offensive Flow: inept (medium)

all teams in my league that have rating less then that
my complain is why bot dont get reset
i realy wonder if maybe i bot will win the cup or promote league
the maker of this game didnt put enough effort in thinking how to make it in my opinion.
now while im at complain mode.... make scrimmage games give some money or else we go backrupt only thing that make me not losing money till now is cup games

Out of all of the asinine statements I've seen on these forums, this is the worst.

How can you question the effort of the developers when you obviously have no idea what it takes to create a game such as this?

Right, because the general masses are going bankrupt without scrimmage game money.

"Manage your team better" sounds like the solution.

next time don`t spend all your money on first days then you get team... that`s the best solution... course look at my team salaries... and you see I also have almost 300k in my pocket... so that means it`s possible to manage team and don`t get into minus...

also this maybe is illegal to say but next time better think and pick your words more careful...

slow down.. youve been playing this game for less than 1/2 a season...

did you expect to just start beating everyone you come up against?

bots are fine and depending on how well you manage the early weeks of your team and what you choose to prioritise improving first it may take 1 season or longer before you can comfortably beat bots home and away (sometimes TIEing).

their teams really arent that good and as they play the same tactic once you decide if you are initially going to train inside/outside players you should be overpowering them soon enough....

... that bot improved quite a bit in his outside ratings 4middle-5low, how this happend? do bots ct or is it of course the better opponent so the coach decides to give important players more playing time?
@elduko you should have played an better outside-defense anyway coz the bot was always better in his outside attack then in his inside then you had probably won this.

Fail to prepare = prepare to fail

Scouting your opponent is two minutes work. You didn't put the effort in and as a result you lost a game you could have won. Learn from this mistake!

make scrimmage games give some money or else we go backrupt only thing that make me not losing money till now is cup games

What are you spending all your money on? I got knocked out of the cup in round 1 (because I wasn't willing to expend resources on it) and I'm not going bankrupt. You've had two TV games, spent no money on players or your arena and you're going bankrupt? I think not.

the maker of this game didnt put enough effort in thinking how to make it in my opinion.

I beg to differ. Don't blame the makers of the game for the errors of its players.

The ratings are greatly exaggerated due to the overtimes, both your ratings really weren't that high.

edit - did you conveniently miss that your ratings are by far the best you've ever put on the road?

double edit - i love people that blindly trash the developers of this game while they are playing the game for free.

All my friends, co-workers that have started w/ teams in the lower divisions seem to be doing really well and not even close to going bankrupt. A little bit of planning and it's pretty hard to go bankrupt.

I somehow doubt that there is going to be a bot winner of the cup, there are quite a few of us still in that actually want to win it, especially the ever-dangerous Inebriated All-Starz...

As for the issue of the bots, it does seem to be a particularly important one in the English leagues, where there are enough active teams to fill 2 and a bit levels of league and we have 4. However, they all get pushed down and re-sorted at the end of the season, and at the end of the day the whole game is only in season 4, the English leagues having only been introduced in season 2, so there's always going to be a bit of a settling period before everything seems "sensible", in terms of who "should" win and who actually does.

Just be patient! I've only been playing this game for just over a season and I think it's great! I came over from Hattrick and think this is much more fun, it's a more open game and the presentation is fantastic. I just hope I can stay in the upper echelons for seasons to come, as any manager would want for their team :D

I felt this post was worth responding to for a number of reasons:

1. The ratings were inflated because of the length of the game (3OT).

2. You lost because you didn't bother to scout your opponent. A simple 3-2 zone could have done you wonders, and likely saved you from overtime, losing, and starting this thread to complain about it all.

3. When claiming the developers haven't put enough effort into the game, you fail to recognize this team: BB Test Team (23509)

4. If you think that there are problems with bots being too strong, may I direct you to the Suggestions forum: (3910.1)

5a. You are having economy problems partly because your team salaries are rather high. $53,000+/wk is a pretty hefty salary for a new team to handle, particularly in div IV. You could cut 3-4k off your salaries by selling/firing your two worst players (the two guys in awful game shape because they never play), thereby trimming your roster to 14.

5b. You have a hefty salary because you hit the jackpot! You lucked into a pretty spectacular team of good young inside players that you can easily continue to improve. Manage them well and you should be in division III in no time.

6. If you ever need help either scouting your opponents or managing your finances, this forum and the Help forum are good places to start. If you would prefer, feel free to shoot me a BB-mail, and I wouldn't mind helping however I could.
