16 teams remain

4 bots (all in Div IV)
5 Div I.1 teams (should make things interesting in the league in the coming weeks as we decide whether to focus on tournament games or league games... I know, jbmcrock, with the depth of your team, it's really just a question of which lineup do you use to whoop our @$$es with, but some of us actually have to make a choice! :D)
7 Div II teams.

One question: who decides where the teams play? I would like to play against the bots team in my 13000 seater, soon to be a 15500 seater instead of their standard 5000 seater with the original ticket price. Out of 7 games this year in the cup, I played one at home! I'm not complaining about the teams I faced (of the seven, only one was managed by an actual player!), I just wouldn't mind getting more money to expand my arena and my roster further.

Good luck to all the teams, and I'll see the winners next round! (please god, after saying that, I hope I don't lose!)
Martin

Whew, I had to leave at half of my game (up 11), and came back to see I held on for a 2 point win.

Where you play is random. I ranted often last season about my run of road games, but this season has been more balanced. I claimed that I wouldn't ever go for the tournament again after making no money and giving a good chunk of league position by focussing on the tourney, but now that I've made it this far...

I get the joy of playing Torooo. Add that it's all star week so he gets to play his starters, and it dosn't look good.

If things are like last season, whoever wins will play another Cup game in two days, that is, in the same game week. So you can't assume Törööö will play his starters against you.

What's so bad about my reserves?

Look at it this way, you have a good enough team to warrant playing some of my starters.

As a tip to the teams that lose on Tuesday, try to schedule a scrimmage immediately after the game on Tuesday in order to get three games for the week (and full training). You have until midnight on Tuesday to send scrimmage offers and the other team has until Thursday to accept them. I was able to do this last year after I lost (I challenged all of the other non-bot Canadian teams that had lost that same round).

Aaagh, if the fouls keep coming like they are, I'll be crashing out of the cup. 13 so far in 13 minutes, 5 players now with 2 fouls.

Is it a bad sign that I can challenge people? Are the games pre-determined?

The games are definitely already calculated... it's possible that what you're seeing is a bad sign. (And a bug.)
