Anyone have a scouting report on Jonas Valanciunas? Seems like a lot of people are projecting him to go near the top of the NBA draft.

My favorite European prospect last 2-3 seasons is Vesely. Actually is the best European athlete for long long time. Maybe AK clone? He is projected as SF. IMO is a PF. As far as Jonas, i havent see him a lot, but i tend to agree with Mamuwalde.

In general this draft has lots of question marks, like Biyobo for example. Great athlete, long enough to be a C, good instincts on D, but very raw offensively. Is he 18-19 y/o? or older?

Erving: 10% body fat, (really high for a guard) and he didnt do the athletics. Why? is hiding something? Red flags here...The comparisons with Paul are plain absurd, just hype machine. He is nowhere near the athlete that Paul is or skilled.

Derrick Williams: He did good (not great) on athletic/physical metrics, but is he an SF or PF? not sure if he is a franchise player anyway. For me best case scenario is Anton Jameson.

Kanter: How can you evaluate a player who has 2 years to play a competitive games, plus the knee concerns?

Kempa Walker: The tests was on his favor. but can run a team? or is worse smaller version of Ben Gordon?

Just some thoughts. If anyone interested, i can post my opinion for more players, since the draft is my passion in last 15 years...

I think everyone agrees this isn't a strong draft...

I think he i a bit like Joakim Noah type of guy, maybe offensively more skilled and not so good in defence. Just hustle and effort guy.

Irving didn't do the trials because... well, why would he? He's guaranteed of going at #1, and as pointed out, this isn't a strong class. Any failure on the physical/skills testing would have been blown all out of proportion.

It's highly unlikely there's a single franchise player in this entire draft. Or even "close-to". Hell, if teams get "regular rotation players" outta this draft, they're doing well.

Kanter's interesting. On one hand, he's scary - because as you point out, he's hardly played and thus is a huge risk. On the other hand, there's mighty slim pickings in this draft, so why not swing for the fences and risk it on a guy who could be a very solid starter (which is more than I'll say about pretty much anyone in this draft).

Well according many sources actually hurt his self skipping the athletics, since he has to answer lots of questions considering that he lost the most of the season because of an injury. Medical tests will be a key for him.

I think Donatas Motiejunas will be the steal in the first round. Not much is being said of him as of now.Projected to go from 9-13 in the draft.

Has good height, athletic, sweet jumper. Unlike Bargnani he has some post moves. Could be the next Nowitzki.
