D.IV.13 through 10 games

Great 8 leads interleague play 16-8
Droids, frito bandito, the arlington allstars, and the seachickens are all undefeated in interleague

Big 8
-The Sikers officially went bot.
-Buffalo Cobras and Essex both logged in again not too long ago.
-STARBURYS climbing back towards the top of the league.
-Arizona has been making roster moves, but they haven't payed off very well to date.
-2 teams still in the cup: Droids and Arizona: Droids with a very tough matchup this week(D.II on road), not too bad for Arizona(D.IV at home).

Great 8
-the much more offensive minded conference, with 4 teams averaging 100+ ppg.
-1 team still in the cup: Seachickens(tough looking D.IV at home).
-staying very active overall

Power Rankings
1st Tier

1. Droids- A stifling defense has carried them to the top, allowing only 65.4 ppg.
2. Seachickens- Have looked good in matchups against some of the Big 8's playoff teams.
2nd Tier
3. Ohio Suns- Get edge over frito for head to head win.
4. frito bandito- Good interleague so far, have yet to face some of the more dangerous teams though.
5. STARBURYS- After a rough start they have begun the climb back to relevance.
6. Arizona Roadrunners- Strange management the past few weeks has dropped them, still the team I would least like to play in a one game winner take all playoff situation.
7. The Arlington Allstars- A blowout of Arizona gives them the lead on WWE in PD.
8. Team WWE- Still right there for a playoff spot, just need a couple of things to break their way.
9. buffalo cobras- Largely inactive they are still in 2nd in the Big 8.
10. El Puerco Grande- Need a good 2nd half to the season to move from the relegation series to the POs, have the potential.
11. McArthurs Fury- Have had a tough season, and a lot of little things have gone the other way, could still easily make a playoff push.

I appreciate the compliment...the reason for my "strange management" the past few weeks, is that I am leaving the game. I will be leaving the country for a missions trip, and am going to let my team die. I might sign up again in the future. So I am tanking my league games...and bought a cup roster :-) When I lose in the cup, that will be my last game. I am currently running at about -130K a week...so if by some miracle I lasted til the end, i would be bankrupt about that time as well.

Good luck to everyone, its been fun.

Oh, it is so good to hear from Arizona. I was wondering how the heck he could afford a 166K C!! That is too bad you are leaving. This league might start to fall apart.

I have a really tough cup game coming up, hope I can pull off a miracle! If not, I really need to focus on training.

Good luck all!

Thanks! I am using my dads credit card to afford this center :-) No credit limit!! Currently, I am operating at Negative -$131,243 a week :-) Of course, every cup win cuts 50K off that -)

I have another pretty easy cup draw this week, so it looks like I will make it to the all star week.. I bought a L6 Doctor, but I am sure at some point running with 5 guys is going to catch up to me...either stamina/depth issues against a good team, or an injury. My SG got hurt in the cup the other day, and then he got hurt again yesterday in PL. He has something nagging going on.

Either way, this is a fun way to go out!! Would be fun to keep this going for a few more weeks.

Hey, btw...do you guys have a preference for how I let my team die? I would assume you all hate walkovers...so I can add 3 horrible players, or 5, or I can get 5 5K-10K players to leave it somewhat competitive. Not sure if you guys are in favor of stat skewing and big PD wins, or if you would rather keep it real. I can also leave it set to tie every game, or Normal, or crunch, and whatever tactics you wall want too.

Just chime in with your opinion, and I will do my best to accommodate. (This is assuming my cup run doesn't last long enough that I go bankrupt and don't have a say in the matter!)

Ha I was wondering what was going on. Good luck on your Mission Trip!

The next two weeks are going to show what my team is really made of (knocked off Frito Bandito by 14 tonight), especially with the injury to my starting shooting guard, but thankfully my second half of the schedule is relatively easy so long-run I'm still looking good.

Droids and Seachickens still seem like they're on another level from all the other teams in the league, but I've made a lot of progress with my finances this season so watch out, a big move might be on the way ;-)

Ugh... A freaking gut-wrenching game going on right now...

REGULATION:

- Was down 19 at one point in the third. Down 12 points going into the fourth. Down 12 points with 3-4 minutes to go.
- Primarily bench players lead the charge and I get right back in the game!
- With time winding down Opposing SG hits a three
- My PG is fouled and misses two free throws (was 6-6 from line before)
- With 2 seconds left Opposing SG hits a jumper to send the game to OT!

*Opposing SG has been killing me all game at the end of regulation: 40 pts 18-32 shooting

1ST OVERTIME:

- I was down 3 with 30 seconds to go but my PG redeems himself by hitting a ridiculously long three-pointer to tie the game!
- On the final possession I get the rebound but miss the final shot, to Double OT we go!

*Opposing SG: 48 pts 22-39 (4-7 shooting)

2ND OVERTIME:

- I fall behind early.
- Star PF takes over hitting a few shots in the paint and a three-pointer to give me a 4-point lead.
- Fatigue sets in and my third string PF (who was sold during this game) is inserted, and some costly mistakes are made.
- I hit another long three to tie the game with 15 seconds left.
- Opposing team misses last shot of period so it's time for Triple OT...

*Opposing SG: 48 pts 22-39 (I managed to make the Opposing SG a non-factor by getting him into foul trouble, 5 fouls, he didn't take or make a shot in the second OT)

3RD OVERTIME:

- A mix of bench players and starters play until about the 1:40 mark, the score is tied.
- At some point early in the quarter I get the Opposing SG who hsa been causing me all sorts of trouble to foul out!
- My star PF takes over down the stretch but Ohio Suns fights back.
- Fittingly I win on a driving layup by my star PF... At the buzzer.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Great game but now that it's done I'm little concerned to see that Ohio Suns had his effort level set to "Take it Easy" where as mine was at "Normal"... O_O
