ok so i have 2 suggestions.

1st we have seen before but bring it to light again. All-Star Game MVP to go on the players page at the bottom.

and second more importantly

i think watching both teams play default tactics for the ASG sucks.

so i would like for the 8 managers of the conference to be able to select their tactics. ok so i suggest this can be done by a vote given to the 8 managers for their preferred tactics for their team to play, Tactic with the most votes is used. can mix it up a little and gives the managers some influence on the game

what do people think?

i am not a big fan of asd too, but i like that they play base offense because so the best player get their shots - because the stats line of my stars are the most intresting think of it. And i don't want them biased through an outside tactic, where my C is just watching the ball go in instead of participating himself in the offense.

Also tactics will favour outside tactics a lot, through the absense of defense and guys shooting better then at the 3 point shooting contest from outside.

I agree that interest in the ASG would be greatly improved with just a few small changes.

1) Winnings. Each member of the winning team gets $10,000. It is small but would be at least worth checking. Isn't going to change the universe. Lets face it some teams get Bots in the first round of the cup while others get ABBL teams.

2) Record. At the bottom of the players record below NT game appearances it should just list the number of all-star game appearances.

3) MVP. There should be an MVP. This could be worked out in a complex way or could just be the top scorer on the winning team. Either way it recognises someone who played well. NBA players record this sort of thing on their resume. THis should also appear on their player history.

4) Trophy. If you are a supporter you should get an all-star game MVP trophy on your front page. It makes people feel good so why not. This should only apply from season 17 on.

In the old game engine to boot. Of all the times to break from reality, this would be it. The ASG sux in real life cause its a joke that no one takes seriously. No reason to imitate that here. Run these fake players out there at 100% like a real game, crunch time even.

BB has the opportunity to make the ASG actually interesting. I'd do the above along with the original poster's idea of voting for tactics.
