I've looked through the game manual and even the guide which explains how to train players, but for some reason I can't figure out how to train a specific player. I have a 19 yo player (C) who I want to train, but for some reason whenever I go to any option that allows for the center to improve it doesn't list him as one of the players. Instead it shows two players who I could care less if they improve, the 19 yo has higher potential and has a higher salary so I don't understand what's going on. Is it training him as well and just not listing it or am I doing something wrong. Sorry if this is something painfully obvious or is answered somewhere else and I just missed it but for some reason I just can't figure it out.

For a player to receive training they have to actually play game minutes in the position being trained. A players listed position is just a suggestion and doesn't mean anything when it comes to training.

I am assuming it is Kirby you want to train. You have to play him 48 minutes per week. So far he hasn't played at all. So in your next game set him as the backup to your regular center and in your scrimmage (very important to schedula a scrimmage every week for training minutes) list him as the starter. Then on the training page choose something that trains centers (inside shot, for example) and on Friday you will hopefully see him start to improve. I would be training Sams and Kirby at one position training, making sure that both of them play at least 48 minutes per week at center.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
