I've found a brazilian player on the transfer market who was drafted in the season 3 draft but is still 26 years old now. I don't see any logical reason for this to happen.

Do you guys think he could be retired during 4,5 seasons before returning to the market? If so, why?

As I think I can't post the link to that player here, I'll just say he is a 6,6" SG.

I would consider it normal if he was from a small village somewhere in Africa, but not from Brazil.

As I wasn't playing the game during that season, I didn't know about that "valve" opened by BBs. The age of that player seemed intriguing to me because I've never found another player "benefited" by that.

It would be good to have this valve in real life, then LeBron could pray for god to make that "trick" with him until he has a chance to join a better "Big Three". He would make a nice deal trading all his bricks for that trick. He probably would fail again, but god would have a new palace in heaven.
