I wonder if training driving up on a C would be a good investment. Would training driving make a C have incredible footwork like Shaq? Does driving include allowing Cs to make more dropsteps, spins and back down defenders? I could see it allowing them to draw more fouls at least. Does anyone have a C with really high driving who can tell me?

Let me put it this way: driving is least useful for Centers, but that doesn't mean it's useless. I always understood Driving in this game as the ability to create your own shot (and get better shots in general). So I see it more in the "backing down defenders" department; footwork yould rather be actual Inside Shot. A Center with high driving will get more open dunks and layups, but to actually make them he still needs inside shot (but those are probably the easiest shots to make...). He'll also draw a little more fouls.

I do not want to spin this into a Patient debate but here it goes anyway:
Driving enables a player to take more shots due to him being able to get open.

This is why most of the examples of Patient being successful are guards/SF's/PF's who take advantage of a big mismatch.
It would be interesting to see if a center, who has a high driving skill (along with handling) but low JS, could be effective in a patient strategy when put into the PG position.

The closest example I could find is this is:

(23220925)

The problem is, the game took part 10 months ago and it was not Patient but Base Offense.

Just watching the games live, I've come to the conclusion that driving is a fairly important attribute for every position. Of course some of the more experienced managers might have a different opinion on that.
