I am wasting money in scouting for the first time in many seasons, as I will very likely end up having an early pick. If I am counting right (6 more weeks to get scouting points?), I will have 32 points and I´m wondering what the best tactic is to spend them.
I will have a Top 3 pick most likely.
Should I go for the group demonstration and scouting combine? Or only one of them? Any ideas welcome.

do the scouting combine first. If there are 10 or more 18yos among the 1-and 2-grey balled guys, get the group demonstration. interview the 5-ball prospects, and then start scouting the 18yo guys you don't know about yet. Interview any further 5-ball prospects.

I´ve done the scouting combine and it has been 9 18 year old guys with 1 or 2 balls.
So I better concentrate on scouting individually, right? That way I try to find the 5-ball prospects and will interview them.
Thanks for your advice, makes sense.

if you're only interested in 18yos - and with the third pick, you should - then yes, individual scouting is better for you.

you loose just one ball, but loose the opputunity to find a decent second round pick who might be 19. So i would go for it.

That´s a good point, but when I look at the height of the players, I will most likely scout individually, as I plan on Big Man training.

my tactics is to do a group demonstration, get most of the 18 yrs old big man with decent height and scout them/ interview them as you had an specific needs for the team. one season worth of training means a lot to draftees both to the player and your club merchandize.

I also feel like this is the best plan. If you are spending that much on the draft it is always nice to get to see how many balls each of the 18yos have. If you don't get to scout all the 18yos then I would always take a chance with an 18yo prospect that is not scouted right after all of the 5ball and 4ball prospects. That is my 2 cents to add on to what Math has said.

32 points? DAAAAANGGGGG
Thats a lot but hopefully it pays off.
Do you think that is really a lot? I know 32 points is nothing to sneeze at, but it I didn't think it was a huge deal.
Just out of curiosity what is the max number of scouting points acheiavable in a season?
