Read now for the Predictions and a section of funnies in the middle somewhere.
MVP
Mortadelo Agustin. Last year's reigning MVP is gone, and the runner up, Chrystian Januszek can make a bid for this prestigious award. However, Agustin is putting up better overall numbers, with more Blocks and Points per game. Chrystian Januszek will finish a close second.
Best Defensive Team
The reigning Best Defensive Team in IV. 21...takes it home again. Congratulations Bossesofbosses. Definitely the most dynamic defensive team in the league. An honorable mention is Saratoga Snakes.
Most High Octane Offense
White Pine Bobcats takes this award home with gusto. Their Push the Ball offense allows them to score a ridiculous 101.6 PPG!
The next highest number is 99 PPG.
Most Interesting Midseason IV. 21 Statistics and Funnies
1. At 12 - 4, Bossesofbosses has score 1337 points. Is this an omen of a possible huge upset? More to come on this. :D
2. -734. Washington Wizards Plus Minus Score is less than all of the 5-8 seeds in both conferences, not counted Wizards.
3. Perry Bacon. Mmm, yum. He gobbles up the bacon, err..rebounds at 13.9 RPG. The numbers aren't great, but the name sure is.
4. 0. The number of American Natives on the Buzzerbees team.
Best Defensive Player
Mortadelo Agustin, in pure stats. I don't exactly have the time to measure it in how many points his matchups score against him, but the pure stats (2.1 BPG) tell the Best Statistical Defensive Player goes to Agustin. Plus a measly 0.7 PF per game.
Most Overrated Player
Hernán Jorge Hatserian may score, but he shoots way too much, at a measly 41.1% FG Percentage, and a 26.2% 3FG Percentage. Add in a HORRID 2.4 - 2.5 Assist to TO Ratio and 68% from the line, he shoots like Dwight Howard. And he can't dunk.
Most Underrated Player
Patrick Pierce. Paul Pierce is a bit overrated, but the White Pierce Bro. covers. Patrick who? Say that when he drops 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 or 6 assists in his next game against you.
Most Overrated Team
Buzzerbees. C'mon, which team finishes 11-11 and should still be in PO contention? Plus, Bensballa's has a relatively easy schedule. I'm praying for losses for the #4 seed.
Best Offensive Player
Sylvain Duterte - The reigning BOP is here again. However, next season it WILL be my stud. :D Shooting 46.5% and 39% from 3FG.
6th Man Award
Sebastian Schauberger. Another uber-man? Move over NoVITski. Plays just 20 minutes per game, but averages over 10 points.
Cinderella Team
Honestly, I never expected WPB to be in third place AT THIS POINT in the season. I expected them to be 6 seed with the chances of 5th.
Most Improved
Again, a bees 'lumni takes it home again. :D Probably because I started him this season, but he made a HUGE jump in stats. :D
Thanks.
