Today i just got done scouting for this years draft and i notice, that our options for drafting is limited and i wanted to write this thread to let the entire BB world know that we should have better draft choices. Such as we should trade up players or give up money which ever one is legal to another team for their picks. If you feel the same way let me know by writting back.

I also think it would be cool if trading could be implemented at some point in the future, with minimums set for certain players/picks set so new players/bots couldn't just be ripped off all the time.

What's the difference between buying a prospect after he is drafted by another team in all the leagues in BB compared to your money for draft pick suggestion?

As for trading, I just can't see how a system could be worked out that would resistant to manipulation. There are other threads discussing this, but it boils down to something like, how do you make sure that the value of each side's offer is about equivalent? Well, currently players are evaluated by the transfer price estimate, and we all know that's not a great metric. So what's your alternative suggestion? And how is it materially better than the current "sell-your-guy" and then "buy-a-new-guy", where the transfer market assigns a value to the players?

You do have a good point there, balancing the offer between both teams is important because you really dont want to be the guy getting ripped off or losing a good player for a bust.

and i also miss the advantage of trades. When you look at the whole money with your income from a sell is it much more likely to find the perfect fit for your team, instead of only looking at 2-3 teams who are intrested in your player.

A trading system might be better in a small market, and even in the nba i think it is still there to avoid to much trades(make then more complicated), and through their salary cap/player contract system.

I really like the prospect of inner-league pick trading.

I think it could be included easily: the day after the regular season ends and the draft positions are fixed, a "league only" transfer market opens, where you can list your draft picks for a minimum bet of your choice if you want to get rid of them.

I also think there should be a maximum bet - 1,000,000 for first overall - 950,000 for 2nd - 900,000 for 3rd - 800,000 for 4 - 10 - 700,000 for 11 - 16 - 500,000 for any 2nd rounder - 200,000 for any 3rd rounder.

All auctions end Friday before the draft, no matter when you added your pick to the auction, so you know 3 days in advance how many and which picks you got.

If your scouting came up with several players of interest, you might want to take a gamble and get your hands on 2 or 3 picks, while if you donĀ“t believe in the draft or cannot afford adding another prospect to your training rotation you might take the money and leave your guy unseen.

Just do a trade system without players, only involving picks and money. Each pick has a certain value: if you want to buy a pick, there is a set price. If you want to trade pick, the money is transferred based on the difference in pick value.
