depends on who you play. If you play against teams that only have 2 C and dont start a true PF (one that can shoot) you could get away with it. However, if your opponent plays a true PF, then he will get rocked.

And by true PF, i mean in skills, not in position.

In D4, if both teams are playing inside tactics, the difference will be small. If you are playing an outside-oriented defence, the difference will probably be greater. For a backup in IV, good OD imo is 5-8.

Is there any skill to train to have a great pf?
Because whatever I've trained I alwas notice that my inside players have better ratings as Cs than PF. Or is it always like this?

PF's would generally rate higher at the guard/perimeter skills than Centers.

Against Princeton OD 1 PFs will kill you.
And the problem is, it would take a long time to get a PFs OD up (it trains pretty slow and you have to put him out of position).

An C with good secondaries and a few JS pops would work well

The only difference between a PF and C salary-wise is jump shot. If you train JS high enough a Center turns into a power forward. All other perimeter skills are free for both positions.

I guess you should train the 4 major inside skills and add JS and OD...That will give you a pretty solid PF...Of course it all depends on which tactic you use and which opponent you face...

Are you sure?

I wont say he is the best PF in the world but he is the only PF I have so I used his as an example and the salary calculator by Moutlinho.

Garth Larbi (8157914) Center
Weekly salary: $ 31 985
Age: 26
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: allstar
Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: inept
Driving: respectable Passing: pitiful
Inside Shot: prominent Inside Def.: sensational
Rebounding: tremendous Shot Blocking: proficient
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: prominent Experience: mediocre

Salary calculator says his salary is slightly higher $35,742 - maybe he had a pop this season before I got him, whatever. Look at the following changes when I add + 1 to a skill.

IS $40178
ID $40423
RE $40143
SB $38025
JS $38236

No surprises there right, well look at these outside skills.

JR $35917
OD $35953
HA $35777
DR $35988
PA $35953

So they all do add to the cost. Great value, for sure, you can have +1 to all of them and still be cheaper than +1 to just SB and I know which I would prefer, but the calculator says they aren't free.
