Our local fan-club had a long weekend gathering this week. They didn't just do it for fun, and came therefore back with a statement today: "Vi som elsker klubben vår over alt på jord, krever å få betale for den moroa vi også får på treningskampene!" That means: "We who love our team more than anything else on earth, demand to be able to pay for the fun we get, even when going to scrimmages!".
(Or as Google would have said it: "We who love our club over all the earth, requires to pay for the fun we have in training matches!"). Me, the leader of this club, promised to take this to a higher level, or the top of the game. Even to the Game Masters' highest level of taking action. Now it's done!

Your fans are strange, they don't like free scrimmages? That being said I'd like it so there is reduced pricing on scrimmages. Ex: $14 league game bleacher seat, cost $4 in scrimmages.

Check the Suggestions they are important

If you say, let's split the money. Everyone will want to play in the bigger arena or the biggest team possible and we would have another problem.

You see problems, I see nothing like that ... why not invite a poor team from Bahamas to one of our big, big arenas and share and share alike?

Yes, and they will pay to see players from all over the world, especially better players than VIF's ...

I have to say in all the sports manger games I play where friendlies/scrimmages share income, it's a real pain in the rear end to get one set up as a small/new manager. There are typically some folks who are good about helping out newbies, but I find it really annoying overall. And all it really does is further benefit those who are already doing well.

Perhaps it should be wise to make scrimmages worth something in terms of income, let's say around $10k. To get the economy balanced, this could be compensated by dropping $10k from TV money. The economy would remain balanced, newer teams wouldn't tend to think that scrimmages are useless, and teams that don't see scrimmages are a total priority (and sometimes don't set one) would be compelled to look for scrimmages every week, since if they don't they will lose money.

That's a really good idea to encourage people to have scrimmages. Setting the scrimmage payout to something like 5-10% of the league's TV contract wouldn't cause dramatic inflation, but would be a sufficient incentive. We're talking like $2500-5000 in your typical D.V.

The only real issue is then you'd get people complaining that their giant arenas should get them more scrimmage money, or that an away scrimmage at someone else's giant arena should get them more money, etc. I would just tell them that their team has a certain number of "Hard Core" supporters, and those are the origin of the scrimmage money (they are the ones that show up at scrimmages, either home or away).
