Our dev team has thought pretty hard about ways to make this happen, and we've had two or three pretty serious proposals on the table, but we found flaws in each of them and we really need something that's going to work long-term. Perhaps we should take this to another thread someplace, and I'd love to hear some good suggestions for changes we might make.
(18784.17)So I would like to start with a suggestion. I hope this topic will only stay at the pro's and cons of the suggestions, we already have another topic about the discussion wether daytrading is right or wrong
(9808.1)1) Add a minimum amount of weeks before you can put a player on the TL. So let's say the minimum amount of weeks is 3. Then you buy a player and you need to keep him at least 3 weeks before you can put him at the TL again. In the meantime you may fire him of course.
I guess this will slighty reduce the power of daytrading, because buyers will need to pay at least 3 weeks of salary. So then we don't only have a selling fee, but also 3 weeks of salary costs.
Daytrading then becomes 'weektrading' , and it's still possible, but harder. Teams who don't daytrade will barely notice this change, because they usually keep their players longer than 3 weeks.
Disadvantage: we may see a huge drop in players listed in the first 3 weeks after this would be implented, but after that it should be back to a decent level again.
