HI, i wanted to know if someone could tell me when would be a good time to snap up a player for the cheapest? i always seem to over pay as i dont understand the tranfer market well enough.. Would it be after the deadline for which the players can be involved in the play offs?

the very beginning of the season, when people are trying to sell their good draft picks, and sell their finished trainees.

not so sure about that. I notice that at midseason that very solid veterans(25-30 yrs) sell at relatively low prices. more people are looking to buy at the beggining of the season which tends to lead to bid wars and overpricing.

Check the Suggestions they are important

You should be checking the transfer market 24/7, and seize the opportunity.

From monday to wednesday you have less people conected, soy you should have less competiton. Nevertheless, you have more players oferred on weekends, so you maight be able to have a great purchase too.

Bottom line: check, check and check, eventually you'll have a good player. But you must be patient.

The offseason or during playoffs you may get some cheap players too, as you won't be able to use them till next season it's a nice bet.

If yo agree or find this useful, click the orange ball, please. that 'd be awesome!! jajaja

I agree with most that has been said.
In my experience, players sell for more during evening time in Europe, since you have some of the biggest BB countries here (Spain, Italy, Poland, Lietuva, France etc..) Prices go up on matchdays as well, since there are more users online. And of course, right before playoffs, since teams are looking for players to strengthen with.

However, this is not exact science. You will find bidding wars and overpriced players even in the most unlikeliest time or day, and you can buy a player on the cheap even when it should be a very busy period. What you can rely on is your patience and persistence. If you are looking for a cheap player regularly, sooner or later you will get him.

p.s. In my opinion, player estimates (on profiles) are usually (much) less than what the player would sell for.
