Hi guys, i have some options for this season draft, but i really don't know which one is better.

What would you recommend me?

I have three options for the first pick.

Position Age Height Potential Level
C 18 216 4 A
SG 18 196 3 A+
SF 18 196 3 A+

Game Reports:
Player Min FG 3PT FT OR TR AS TO ST BL PF PT
PLAYER1 22 2-5 0-0 0-0 1 4 0 2 0 1 0 4
PLAYER2 22 5-7 0-1 2-2 1 3 4 1 1 2 0 12
PLAYER3 21 3-7 1-1 1-1 1 3 0 3 2 1 0 8

The game reports suggest all of them having a good defense (0 Personal faults).
And average/good shooting skills.

Thank you for your knowledge and suggestions!

what's P, E and A? I mean, apart from peas...

That said, the 4 ball potential guy should be the better trainee. If you're training Guards, you won't be able to train him - but you'll still get quite a bit of money when selling him.

The 4 potential guy. His starting skills may be slightly lower, but there's no amount of training that can improve a player's potential.

Thank you :)

And I'd still take the C first. Probably the SG second, but it's close... but nominal SF trainees are a little more likely to be defensively inept... or even pitiful ;)

Plus, doesn't the height of the C mean he'll train a little faster in some of those position skills?

Your in a lower division, so don't worry so much about potential! Pick one of the bottom two.

depends if you're looking to train or sell the player.

Train + slightly better immediate impact - A+ trainees with lower potential
Train + better long term impact - A + trainee with higher potential

If you want to sell - the Higher potential guy would prob sell better.

Also bear in mind the heights & age of each player :)

196 isn't great for training guards.

The deciding factor in whether you made the right pick in the end will prob be the skill sets you receive. But there's nothing much you can do about that.

hope that helps

Hi Vicelicious

For me it's hard to understand

According to the FAQ by Naker Virus
What do the draft balls translate into in terms of player salary and potential?
Salary
5 balls = $3,700 and higher
4 balls = $2,800 - $3,700
3 balls = $2,300 - $2,800
2 balls = $1,900 - $2,300
1 ball = $1,900 and lower

Potential
5 balls = 10 - 12 (MVP - All-time Great)
4 balls = 8 - 9 (Perennial Allstar - Superstar)
3 balls = 5 - 7 (Star - Allstar)
2 balls = 3 - 4 (6th Man - Starter)
1 ball = 1 - 2 (Announcer - Role Player)

In summary

Star Rating: 1 to 5 balls (Salary)
Potential: 1 to 5 balls (Potential)

but that information give me the Grade Rating: A+, A, A-, etc??????

Can you explain us?
Thanks in advance
Kid

the grade is an more detailed Star rating, i give you an example in fictional numbers.

A 4 Star Rating player always have B grades(5 Star A and 3 star C etc.), but you get an extra indikator with the +/- so that it could look like this:

B-: 2,800$ - 3,100$
B: 3,101-3,400$
B+: 3,401 - 3,700$

Hopefully i could help.

Mmmm interesting...
In my case I have interviewed 3 players and I have the following information:

Player / Star Rating / Potential / Grade Rating
Player 1 / 5 / 4 / A-
Player 2 / 5 / 3 / A-
Player 3 / 4 / 2 / B

I have it a bit clearer though not without doubt.

thanks for the info.
+1 for you.
