I had my best big get hurt against a certain team in my league on Tuesday, 6/28. I lost by 4 and after the game it said "Injury! 2 weeks."

One week later, Tuesday 7/5, it still said 2 weeks, and in fact continued saying so until Friday morning 7/8, as when training updates took place I guess it went down to 1 week.

But now this Friday, 7/15, it still says 1 week, and I face the same certain team that injured him in the playoffs tomorrow. Will my player be back for this game! What's going on!

One guess: Buzzerbeater actually determines in days, not weeks, how long the player will be out, and "2 weeks" was just an estimate. Meaning a maximum of 17 days because if it were 18, that would be closer to 3 weeks. The 17th day will be tomorrow.

Another factor is my doctor sucks, basic doctor. I wonder if this could make the recovery drag on longer than the given time. Since the first "week" took 10 days, that means I should perhaps expect it to take another 10 days for the player to return, which would make him not back til Monday - missing tomorrow's big game.

Anxiously, I await the results... If my player does not play, not to worry, I assure you any harm that comes to mister Buzz R. Beater was simply an accident.

You're right, injury times are only estimates just like building arena seats.

I believe every injury I've had has lasted longer than the number of weeks posted. If it says 2 weeks, it usually takes at least 3.

Not sure if a quality doctor cuts down on the time he misses, my doctor sucks too. Someone else might be able to answer that.

It is an estimate but each injury length has a certain range. Not sure of the exact numbers but a 1 week injury can last between something like 1-13 days.

Guide says of the quality of doctor:
Once a player is injured, a Doctor will also help him heal more quickly, but the effect is much smaller than the initial reduction in severity.

Doesn't say anything about bad doctors making the injury WORSE than the initial diagnosis, however.

This game is going to be large for me because if I win it, I'll win my league which will help ensure I can keep all my players after their salary increases, etc. at season's end. Eep. I had assumed my player would be back.

If 1 week really means 1-13 days, then 2 weeks might mean 14-20 days, which would definitely put me in trouble.

One week means 7-13 days, once a player gets injuried he won't be able to play for a week at least. Yet two weeks are 14-20, three 21-27 and so on.

Thank you. Buzzerbeater should change this though I think... it's quite misleading to say 2 weeks and then have him still out 20 days later. Looks like my player will probably still be hurt. Especially if the day it went from saying "2 weeks" to "1 week" means that's the day there were 13 days left...it really doesn't make any sense.

I'm fairly certain this isn't correct. I've already seen players with 2 week injuries out for 4+ weeks. I believe it's just an estimate.

Dunno, in my whole BB experience (12 seasons right now) i had lot of injuries (like dozens) and the week rule was correct everytime. I might have been just lucky tho.

A better doctor does help heal an injured player quicker than said player is suppose to be injured. A player is injured is basic on the doctor you had at the time and the doctor you have for the duration of the injury. I've consulted many players for the info.
