I know the potential and salary cap for players has been discussed at length but I was hoping someone could give me insight on a specific player. I have had this player for 3-4 weeks with no pops in 1 position pressure training or 1on1 training for forwards. He's previous manager also advised me that he had not popped all season. Is it possible that he has capped at such a low salary when only 22 years old???

Weekly salary: $ 34 996

It seems possible. From what I have read, salaries have been decreasing steadily over the seasons, and it appears to not be a very reliable source to determine caps. What is the indicator for me that he has popped is the emphasis on high utility training he has received (primary position training) and he has his best stats in the primaries for SF - JS,JR,OD and ID.

Another thread you could look at can be found in Global, where discussions on the exact values that affect the cap per position is going on - props to Joseph Ka for that!

If you look at the coefficients on SF, you can see that your player has strengths in the high value (with respect to potential) skils.

Doesn't make sense:

Just tried market search
22 year old, all star potential
There are 10 players available right now
salaries between your guy and $58,000
no way he has capped
I would go back to previous owner and ask for details on his previous training with this player

That is a very well rounded player and yes as an all star he is probably capped.

according to the the present season salary formula an all star caps at about 45k......so its unlikely that he has capped already.....may be a GM or BB can give a better answer but i think that he still has room for learning...

According to JosefKa's potential formula, he has definitely capped.

If any of the five formulas gives a sum over 22, he's definitely capped.
