Playing scrimmage Sat Jul 23. GS resets Mon Jul 25. Playing another scrimmage Thu Jul 28, and have a training update Fri Jul 29.

My question is whether the minutes played Jul 23 will count towards the GS update Jul 29, or if these will in fact be 'wiped' clean during the off season processing?

first training update have no effect on gameshape, also when you train "game shape".

ok. thanks. so if training stamina or FT that week, there is not much point in booking a scrimmage game for Thursday, I guess, since it will just give you an injury risk (since it is after the reset) for no reward whatsoever. weird design choice.

if player get injured, they are instantly healed to the new season which should reduce that risk to zero ;)

And i often used the off season to train of position, where you still can train four player and can play then wherever you want without sacrifiing something.

the instant heal is new, and would have expected it to happen during the off season processing, when GS is also reset. just how sure are you that the healing will onlyl happen after the Thursday scrimmage?

oh thats right so i could get close ...

But it isn't totally useless, even when it isn't totally necessary.(but you could bring the argument also for the offseason scrimmages before)

indeed. I did play them last off season which was dumb in 20/20 hindsight (but then again, that was my very first off season, and you live and learn..)

at least the earlier off season scrimmages before the reset (of which I have had a few since I was also dumb enough to finish 5th - another learning experience....) now carry no injury downside risk, so for non-supporters with no PL games, they at least represent a chance to mess around with tactics a bit, and hence have a tiny bit of value even when training stamina or FT.

that very limited value would not seem matched by the injury risk for the first scrimmage after the off season processing, though, if minutes played that week have no influence on GS, and for teams training stamina or FT (which I would imagine would be the majority), it really should not be booked.

i don't think that the majority do it, i nomrmally get enough stamina and free throw training through bad minutes in the season.

Also you could give your draftees 48 minutes, and this could raise the value(when you put them on tl with 48 min) and the risk of injury for a game isn't really big.

whatever the figure may be, I guess we are both making the mistake of generalizing from our own experience.

good point about the draftees, though, and thanks again for your reply on the question raised on GS.
