My team is 21-1 with a 541 point differetial. I'm in divison V and i lost in my league semifinals. What are my chances of getting promoted in the bot cleanup?

I'd say pretty good. Nothing for sure since no one will want to go through each DIV league to check for bots or DV leagues to compare records.. but I'd give you 90% chance.

Since you finished second in your conference, I think it's not very likely. From what I've seen on the forums, all of the teams who finished first in their conference would have priority over teams that finished second.

All of the teams who win the championship automatically promote. Along with that dozens of bot teams from the league ahead of you have to be cleaned up and replaced by the next best teams in the league below. That is where the OP will fall. He should make it up no problem.

The bot promotion hierarchy goes:

Conference Winner
Wins
Point Diff
Points Scored

All the conference winners will be in front of this guy. That team that went 10-12 and won there conference... promoting ahead of this guy. So a minimum of 256 teams will be ahead of him and that's in a perfect world.

I personally would not count on promoting.

Listen, it's certainly not a sure thing, but here' my thinking.

256 league champions in DV that are ahead of him. Fine.

64 DIV leagues, means 64 promotees. 4 teams in each league that demotes (8 place in each conference, plus the loser of each conference's relegation series), that's 256 right there. Combined for 320 open spots.

16 leagues in DIII, times four demotees in each league is lucky number 64 teams coming back to DIV. That leaves exactly ZERO spots left. Perfect wash.

BUT. In my experience in DIV, there are tons of bot teams. Heck, we had two in my DIII league. At least 25 teams are bots in DIV that do not fall into the relegatin series. This means DIV will need at least 25 team up from DV.

I think with his record, he's in the top 25.

No promotion. At least 256 teams ahead of you in bot promotion, have to either win your league playoffs or be the regular season conference champion to have any chance.

Ah true, he does have a shot, but he's not in the TOP 25. 256 Automatic winners then there's 256 team ahead of him that all one their side of their conference ahead of him too. That was my point. He might be Number 513 though.

guess i'll just have to wait till next season. I'm gonna blow through my league next year and just waste another 3 months without a challenge.

here's a proposed challenge. Blow through your league with as little salary as you can. Not only will you have to manage your GS and enthusiasm well, but the reward is having far more cash than you would get with a incredibly loaded roster. You can always buff your team at the end of the season.

The team that beat you in the SF is getting crushed. And the first two teams in the other conference are better than yours. What makes you think you won't have a challenge next season?
