Could it be possible for a new stat showing points in the paint and points allowed in the paint be implemented?
I've always wondered how many points I was giving up in the paint..

There is a tool that you can download,

BB Game Analyzer (178926.1) by moutlinho (70514)

Ive found it to be quite good for analyzing these kinds of things. It will give you a run down of inside shots vs outside shots, dunks, layups etc etc.

Looks like a good program but I can't be bothered to install Excel, I use Openoffice.
As well only supporters can use it and I can't afford to have supporter all the time.
I really hope they can implement points in the paint and points allowed in the paint in box scores.

Well, I think the stats we have now are the "standard" basketball stats I expect to read. I don't want BB to ease my job, if I want to understand something about my team, I need to work on that (for example reading play-by-play or viewing the match live).

If lots of stats are available to everyone, the difference between good managers and bad managers will be small, and I don't like that.

Points in the paint is pretty standard and in real life, no matter what league, available for anyone to see.

In buzzerbeater, a 'points in the paint' stat doesnt give as much info that can translate into 'how my team played'... I found with the above mentioned BB Game analyzer, it breaks it down into the game commentary stats, which are much more useful to translate into 'how my team played' information.

eg: BB Game analyzer - # of times player drove to the basket. # of tough inside shots... # of pulls up for the jumper at top of key..... these all translate into how well your team executed the offence you set for it. Maybe your PG needs better IS because he keeps missing his drives inside. etc etc etc.

Points in the paint - i dont really understand how this translates into valuable information. Yer sure it looks informative, and is in line with how the real world of basketball is played, but when it boils down to it, this isnt real basketball :)

There has never been a box score that showed points in the paint for basketball. Maybe on TV they show a graphic, but certainly not in the box score or any league-kept statistic. Someone has mentioned a way to find out about points in the paint. If you "can't be bothered" to make use of it, that is your problem, no?

I refuse to download third party programs where I need to install software that actually costs money in order to use it.
Points in the Point & Points Allowed in the Paint etc... would be highly more valuable than that "ROLE" feature we have which is a complete joke.

Good for you. That's your choice and I'm not trying to say that your decision is good or bad. I am saying that A) points in the paint is not a statistic that is officially kept by any league anywhere so why should it be kept on BB? and that if it is important to you to have it, you can get the information.

Are you trying to say it wouldn't be necessary or beneficial to have points in the paint stats while we have a useless "Role" stat which offers nothing?
