It appears that my new team has a couple good players to build around, however my main 2 quality Trainee's are different, and I would like to have some suggestions on where to focus my training.

My Center, Jame Block (4161853)
is only 19 and seems to have a good shot at being a quality C/PF .. he is 6'10" so should do well (I assume) with Inside training.

My SF, Ivan Luis Costa (2526809) is also 19 has a STRONG JS, and mediocre JR, so he too could be an excellent candidate to build around.

Which way should I go, and should I keep the other one or sell him?

Other suggestion are appreciated, I am currently 2-10 in my league and pretty much looking down the barrel at demotion I believe.

Check out my roster (23177)

Finally, since I suck, should I be investing big $$$ in scouting?

If Costa doesn't sell, you could train them both by training inside skills for PF and C. Costa won't score many points inside until you get his inside scoring up (obviously), but with his inside defence being pretty good, he won't let you down too badly.

maybe consider training short term and see how kind the drafts is to you before deciding on a long term training programme..
give yourself good chances of wins by TIE when you know you are going to lose and build enthusiasm for the closer games.. then between now and next season try to find money for 1/2 trainees and train them intensively at PG or SG or C (these are the only 3 solo positions you can train) then add 1/2 draftees plus maybe go shopping for 2 more early next season as your cash flow improves.

So you have 7 weeks or so to train up a max of 3 guys (most likely 2 will get 48mins plus and the last guy just under 48mins)

Look for who you think can fetch you a decent amount if he had 5-6 skill ups (which is easily achievable) go for young 18-19 (20 max) and dont worry about building all skills as this is simply a method to make money ahead of next season where you can try to pick up some more rounded trainees..

hope this makes sense.. message me if you want more help

Hi realmwalker,

With all do respect i think you need a total restart. Sell some players and buy 4-6 18 year-olds doen't really matter what position, maybe guards since they want to improve outside shooting. Get a good trainer. If you do good you will stay in the division and next year you will have a competitive team.

If you don't have a lot of money you can begin with PG's for instance passing the training will go very fast because you can train only PG with that kind of a training. And after the TV matches in a few weeks you will have enough money to buy some decent SG. and then you can train JS PR HA etc...

If there is some money left expand your arena, now it would look like a waste but if you start winning you want your fans standing behind you and for the economy.

And for the balance make sure that you keep some good rebounder's, very important.

I would choose for long-term training now and not next season, because otherwise you will have the same problem next year as you have this year.
Good luck with some difficult decisions.
