I got lucky in my first draft and got two decent potential players. I can't decide which one I should concentrate my training on. I've been reading the threads and it seems like you should usually go with a 18 yo over a 19 yo. What should you do if the 19 yo has allstar potential, while the 18 yo has only star potential? Here are the skill levels of the two players, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

19 yo PG, 6'0"/183 cm, $3,858 weekly salary, allstar potential

JS average, JR pitiful, OD average, H inept, D respectable, P respectable, IS atrocious, ID awful, R average, SB atrocious, S awful, FT respectable

18 yo Center, 7'0"/213 cm, $3,137 weekly salary, star potential

JS pitiful, JR atrocious, OD inept, H average, D awful, P mediocre, IS average, ID awful, R respectable, SB inept, S mediocre, FT mediocre

I've tried to stress the idea that potential sometimes is overrated a few times in other threads. The main thing you need to decide is how you want to improve your team. Typically you decide that you want to train guards and buy veteran big men, or vice-versa (small forwards are trickier).

That being said, you need to make sure you pick up some other trainees on the TL, so that you give training to players that can improve. In the future not all the players you've trained will be needed and you can sell the expendable in the TL for extra cash. If you want to train players to have an impact on your team, then I would say age (18/19) and potential are not too important. They will quickly get to a plateau where they are stars in div V. Starting training at 18 and having big potential is more crucial when you want players to get to a bigger skill set (and eventually to the NT's).

As for these 2 players, you can find better trainees in the TL for reasonable prices. But you can still train them in the near future and sell them once you have better solutions. The awful ID on your C is a bit of a deal-breaker
