So my starting 5 are all solid defenders(Especially my ID) my worst one being my Point guard who is at strong OD. But my 2nd string has no good defender other then my center who has strong in inside d.
Should i invest in a small forward/shooting guard defender for my 2nd string or should i go for a Power foward and lock down the inside defense and then run different defense to help my outside D

It's better to have solid inside and outside defenders, both starting and substitute players. Locking down on good Inside will exploit your weakness outside... it's better not to have any weakness in defense.

i think you should mix it up. Get a defensive player in that position and also get a really good offensive player who can also pass but most importantly get an all around player. When you do this you will get a good deep bench. You can use your defensive players against your opponents high scoring players.

Just sell the weakest in your team... if he still has value, though.

At your level, forget about second string and back up players. Focus on improving your starting 5 and aggressively training.
