The 19 YOs make it pretty tough. You're pretty much out of luck as far as the u21 is concerned.

The first player is out entirely I would say. Not good enough height to train as a big man at that level, and not good enough starting stats to train as a SF or guard.

The 2nd player is a bit more enticing. Good height and potential and servicable big man starting stats. The ATR passing is a bummer though... Based on the low secondary stats that he has, if you want a NT player out of him, you should focus on REB, IS, ID and build a monster. He will also be a salary issue down the road if you take that path. But again, the 19 YO part makes him a bit of a long shot for a NT.

Even if you don't make NT, the second guy will be a great big man for you.

First guy is too short and not good enough, but the second guy is so tall that he could become very good very fast. I doubt you could get him on the U21 NT, but you might be able to get him on the NT after LOTS of traininf. However, his salary would be so high you probably wouldn't be able to afford him. Your call though.

i knew he wasnt going to make U21 bcuz of his age. to the questioning of affordability i have a high income and would probably sell the PF if I dont have high enough income for him. i would make room for the center even if it means tanking.

When they say high salary, they are talking 300 THOUSAND dollars per week. You better pray that you move up two divisions if you want any hope of affording that. Otherwise, you'll have a center and not much else!

To avoid these huge salaries for a bit you could begin with training their secondaries. Both of them are bad passers, so why not train passing for the rest of the season. Maybe giving them a couple pops in OD too. After that you can train the inside skill and will end up with great versatile big men.

At least, thats what I'm doing at the moment and I'm pretty excited about them.

I don't want to miss his age of quick training so I'll train primary skills, but if I don't promote after 2 seasons then I'll stop training him.

That doesn't make much sense. Training his secondaries first will give you a great advantage in the long run. His primaries will still train quick enough due to his size. You don't have to rush. Take your time to take advantage of such a potential.

If you really can't afford him any longer, sell him. If you see that coming, get yourself another trainee now with less potential for little money who you can keep. Otherwise you'll wast a lot of potential, i.e. money.
