Well, I won this game, but I'm just wondering what, if anything, I did wrong with my players. Here's the game: (36158923)

I had Strong (High) outside scoring and he had Awful (high) perimeter defense. Heck, his PF was guarding my PG for most of his shots. I had homecourt advantage, my matchup ratings are probably the best they've ever been, and my offensive flow was really good (only 5/36 field goals were unassisted). Furthermore, I played with normal effort.

What happened? Why was my offense so dysfunctional compared to what I thought should have happened? I know 92 points isn't a terrible offensive outing (especially since I missed a lot of FTs), but I shot less than 25% from the 3 point line as well and I just don't get it. At least 80% of my shots were before the shot clock was winding down as well.

PS - not trying to sound like I'm complaining. I'm just befuddled.

Well, first of all you shot 43% from the floor, which is not bad at all. Combined with the fact that you shot 28 FTs I think it's safe to conclude that your offense was very efficient. With a better FT% you would have had a bigger blowout. The awful OD doesn't translate only into better 3PG, it also means that you hit a lot of long 2's. The 3pt % is not brilliant, but I wouldn't read much into it. Sometimes, especially towards the end of the game when the players are tired they just start jacking up 3's every possession

to confuse you totally i bring bad luck into the mix ;)

Your matchup ratings was all over 110 point which is pretty rare,, so probadly on a good day you would hit more 3pointers but even Nash and Nowitzki could miss 5 free throws in a row even when that is an very rare event.

Indeed, the odds of either one happening (for any stretch of 5 FTs) is about 0.001% (assuming a FT% of 90% for both, which seems a reasonable assumption to me). So yes, that would be very rare indeed.

what do you mean 1.5?
I was surprised my team is shooting this good at the 3 point line this season. In the past the 3 ball has failed me. I just bought a new SG then the whole teams 3p% jumped.
