If the team im about to play always plays run and gun is it smart for me to look inside and play 3-2. I have 2 excellent big men that should dominate his? And i wanted to make sure that my SG will still get involved in scoring he averages close to 30 per game.

Your choices for offense and defense are independent. 3-2 zone is a good choice to match up agains the RnG. Your big men are better than your opponents, so LI is a natural choice. And your SG is apparently the best player on your team, so he will get his shots.

Now if I may give you a word of advice, you need to manage your gameshape better. Your players are in terrible shape, they will play nowhere near their skill level with inept GS. You need a bigger roster to eat up some minutes, otherwise you will be paying 20k a week for guys who play at a 5k level

3-2 is good decision for defense but regarding offense i will suggest just look out your opponent defense what he uses more and put you offense according to it.

Cheers!

Preferably some younger guys who can be trained.

I wouldn't say I agree with Prashant up here. It's not always wise to play your offense according to your opponents worst defense. It is a truism if your team is really balanced and can play inside or outside with little loss.

I would never play outside offense if I only have defensive players in my guards a sf positions and have 2 great PF/Cs. There are teams playing like this with nice sucess, and they only play inside offensive tactics.

You always have to weight both sides of the equation and remember that this game is not only about ratings and a lot about matchups.
