After discussion with NT PR Director SpF, we here in the National Team PR department are ready to bring back an old favorite some (including myself) felt was missing last season, the Contest! If you are unfamiliar with the contest, you can check out some old threads from past Contests, but here is the idea:

Each week of the NT and U21 season, there will be questions pertaining to that week's games, around 10. Each answer will be given a specific amount of points, and the highest total will win a prize, likely an amount of Supporter!

Here is an example of a few of the questions from Season 15 (Note: Questions this season will likely be split between NT and U21 to give a wider range of questions):

1. Winner of #1 Chile vs #12 Uruguay?

A. Chile by 15 or more(3pts)
B. Chile by less than 15 (2pts)
C. Uruguay win (5pts)
D. Chile/Uruguay in Double OT (8pts)

D. Spain by 15+ (4pts)

A. Jairo Alejandro Renteria (3pts)
B. Inez Arzapalo (3pts)
C. Irwin Velasco (3pts)

4. Our highest player rating?

A. 18.0 or less (3pts)
B. 18.5 (4pts)
C. 19.0 (4pts)
D. 19.5 or higher (3pts)

5. First Argentinian player to pick up 4 fouls?

A. Werribee (3pts)
B. Castro (3pts)
C. Lee (2pts)
D. Other/None (1pt)

6. Who will lead the team in assists per minute (at least 10 minutes played)?

A. Joe Bronson (2pts)
B. Dexter Dennison (3pts)
C. Jairo (6pts)
D. Madrid (4pts)
E. Other (2pts)

7. First team to have a player "on fire"?

A. USA (3pts)
B. Argentina (3pts)
C. Nobody (2pts)

8. Which one of these random predictions comes true?

A. Velasco scores 35 or more pts (15pts)
B. 5 US players foul out (15pts)
C. Jairo shoots 10-10 FG (20pts)
D. USA wins by an exact score of 99-94 (15pts)

Please do keep an eye out for future threads, and thank you to those that posted in last week's thread!

Also, the annual NT-U21 scrimmage takes place this Monday, as the NT has their week off before games against the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. Also, U21 repechage is about to hit its last week, so watch for future U21 opponents trying to make the Worlds Championships!
