These super-aggressive players are just more foul-prone than the others. Even if they are un-welcome when they hit you, injuries are still pretty rare. And since players get a maximum of 6 fouls, it doesn't improve the chances of injuring your opponent's star all that much.

you can't plan for that kind of stuff to happen, of course. But I did once have an ultraagressive SG for exactly that reason, and every third game or so, he'd injure the opponents' star guard. It's an unfair tactic and often too risky, but yes, it can work.

It could be good tactic if opponent has weak FT and weak bench players. In other cases it gives You more disadvantages than advantages.

It should probably be a desperation tactic. If you don't injure their star then you are getting bad performance and you aren't going to win consistently that way. Also when you have a good chance to win the game then it is a bad strategy.
