Hi, I need a little bit of advice with my player

Riho Kütt (21414292)

I got him from draft , been training him since then. I've only managed to gain 1 pop up while training him, I think it's because I've lvl 3 trainer. I've gotten full 48 minutes each week ofc.

I was supposed to buy a lvl 4 trainer earlier, but I just couldn't afford. I wasted all my cash on buying a few players + upgrading my arena preseason. I basically started the season with like 2k cash.

Right now I'm making like 60k profit a week, after this week I'll have like 300k. I've found out that I can't get a lvl 4 trainer for less than 300-350k. At least not one who's salary is less than 30k a week. So I could buy a lvl 4 coach this/next week.

I don't know if I should keep training Riho Kütt (21414292) till the end of the season, or sell now. The estimated transfer price of him is $550k-1450k. I have no idea how much that would go up if I'd keep training him for the rest of the season.

I'm not 100% sure what should I do with the player. I was even thinking of keeping him for a long time and train him for a few season straight now. The only thing I'm a bit dissapointed at is that I've lost some pop ups(No idea how many) because I have not had enough money to buy a better coach. I think I'm already too much behind of other 18-year-old players that I should give up with this player.

If I would sell the player and I'd hit the jackpot and someone would buy the player, for lets say, 1m, I could use that money to upgrade my arena + propably could buy some older players who'd have much better stats than this young player.

Any thoughts of what should I do?

Fist of all, you'll get a lvl 4 trainer with about 15k salary for like 1000$. So don't worry about it. Using a lvl 3 trainer so far doesn't make such a huge difference as you probably imagine.

What are you training? Only one pop sounds a little few to me too, and it can have several reasons:

- you changed training every week
- you did not do one-position-training
the player had very low sub-skills

When looking at the players salary and potential (and age) I tell you: don't sell him. He's a great trainee and could make a great SF one day (if you can be patient). Just stick with training one skill after another and you will see great progress.

PS: No, he is not screwed, even if he received a little less training. Just imagine he gets injured for 2 weeks. That would be bad, but now reason to dump him.

When you say u have a level 3 trainer do u mean Competent? A level 4 trainer is Advanced which is good enough for your training. The trainer prices you talk about are for a level 5 Superior trainer which isn't that much better then level 4. You would be able to get an Advanced trainer on 12-15k salary for hardly any sign on fee. As for training your player i can't really give any advice without knowing his skills.

He will pop this week. He probably had low sublevel and height doesn't help also.

I think currently he'd sold for 500-600k. He's got solid inside skills to go with good outside skills, so if you don't need the money, don't sell him. He will be a great Outside SF if you train him correctly. Or a great SG with good inside game.

Well I'd need the money, but I might just keep him. He's in U21 so I'm getting some extra money from the tickets + Would be sweet to have him play in the U21 in a few years. I guess I'll buy a superior trainer this/next week :)

And I've thought of training pressure for 2 more weeks after this week, to lvl twice, then train passing for 2-4 weeks. then I'm not sure what to do after. Any suggestions? And thanks for the messages so far!

You should ask yourself if you really need the money. Having money just for the sake of having it or spending it for a big player you don't need right away is a waste. If you want to promote this season and need money, then sell him. If you don't plan to promote, then keep a roster with minimal wages, train, and save money for the big season when you will promote.

There's no way I'm going to promote this season. There's like 4 teams in my league that has like 3x my budget. So all I can do is wait for the right time. Maybe I'll have a change next season when 1 of the tuffest opponents promotes to upper division.

That's what I've done for this and last season. I only bought 2 "good" players this season, and last season I bought newbie players just to get started. I will keep this roster for this season, train the player and re-evaluate my plans next season.

I thought there's no point in wasting money on players right now, because they wouldn't make a difference on my results. I would still only win the teams that I beat now, and would still lose to the teams that I'm currently losing to.

Exactly. That's why I think you probably don't need any money because you ain't buying anything. If you promote 3 seasons from now, your 18y old will at that time probably be good enough to earn a spot in starting five.
