According to the replay, the opposing team holds the ball for the last 38 seconds. No player on my team fouls the opposition to stop the clock. Just wondering if anyone can explain what happened please and if other people have had similar issues. Thanks

Well this is a classic one. Possession can last longer when there is a steal.

this is what the GE says, not the basketball rulebook. better luck next time

imho the rulebook if with it, when their is a loose ball and the buzzer ring it is first a shot clock violation when the attacking team get the possesion back - but in BB those loose ball situation take too long but 26s attack in this direction might happen in real time.

Thanks for the reply. Am a little confused, u said it's a game viewer bug, not a game engine bug, but in the game of basketball if u don't inbound after 5 seconds then it's a turnover. If you don't shoot once the shot-clock expires, it's a turnover. A single possession of 38 seconds is non-existent?

It's not a big drama, but would hope that somewhere down the line these situations would be eradicated to represent more of a basketball simulation.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond everyone.

There is a scenario where the ball could stay on one side of the court for more than 24 seconds and go back to the offensive team at some point. It7s really unlikely and I don7t know how many times its even ever happened in recorded basketball if ever.

you see it quite often, with airballs at the buzzerbeater. If the team get the offensiv rebound it is an shot clock violation, else it is a reguar defensiv rebound. if the first attemp of the rebound is tip this may even take a bit time.
The same could happen with a tipped away ball during a pass, but the time the ball is lost is really to long to be plausible, but over 24s happens quite often. Don't know if NBA rules a different in this direction.
