If I were to make a decision like that, I'd look at the defensive ratings of his previous games, look to see if the outside shooters will be able to still perform well in that zone. I'd also stick to outside which I think is your strength if inside scoring is considerably weaker. Sometimes when I'm unsure I'd go through the other persons game, and see who locks out the other teams scorer the most etc. It's a hassle and might not always give you rewarding clues but I like analysing...
