He has a good starting salary, is 18, decent height and good potential, so on paper he looks like a good trainee. However his skills may tell a different story...

OK starting salary, young, decent potential, yeah worth training. You got this one right this time. 46k might raise eyebrows a teeny tiny bit but it's okay.

I like him. I had a player like that (slightly better inside skills, fresh 18yo instead of almost-19 like your guy is considering the point of the season) and he's one of my key players now. Good age, good height, enough potential, and nothing horribly horribly wrong with him (ie, atrocious passing, awful OD, that sort of thing). Train him as a guard obviously, pressure first. Good luck!
