Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I couldn't find it ;)

Community Challenges

I think that we should introduce Community Challenges to the game.

What is a community challenge?
A community challenge is where 2 nations play each other through their clubs, for instance 15 NZ Clubs play against 15 USA Clubs.

Rules

1. Each team plays a match against an opponent from the other country (random draw)(Home team alternates each match).
2. Whichever country wins the most games wins the community challenge (winning country will get a trophy (supporters only)).

Simple!
How do you arrange a community challenge
You need to get 10+ people from your country to play, pick a nation, and then contact a BB to make the challenge.

That's quite a nice suggestion - but - except for the trophy - you can arrange such a thing in a PL. Especially if it's only for supporters as in your suggestion.

I meant the supporters get the trophy, they can still enter.

Ok, I started a PL, I'll get 3 NZers and we'll have to find another country to play against.

You can arrange all this not only in PL, but also in the forums (and then challenge are made through scrimmages).

Started one up like that as it seemed like a better idea. (197915.1)

Interesting concept but just a few problems with this:

1. Whats to stop say a team consisting of 5 (or whatever number you decide on) Division I teams playing against a bunch of D3 teams?

2. Scrimmages are never ideal. you are better off setting up a PL. Due to GS management issues, it is impossible for teams to field their usual/best lineups during normal weeks for scrimmages. So unless you are not too bothered about the results then I would recommend a PL be used instead as to give people a chance to play whatever lineup they want without compromising GS.

The problem with PLs are that most players are already in one, so its hard to find people in the same country.

it is impossible for teams to field their usual/best lineups during normal weeks for scrimmages.

Well that's okay, if all teams can't play their best line-ups then it won't matter, surely better teams will have better B teams, right?

Not necessarily. Some teams don't have depth and rely on scrubs for minute fillers in scrims. And we're not talking B teams here. This is more like a C team as B team usually get enough during the competitive games depending on how you manage it
