As i know from real life a great SF would be at least 196 cm in height but here in BB i've seen player that should be a PG/SG are doing great as SF at about 188 - 193.

For the poll i used only these heights because a 201-208 would be of no importance.

Wouldn't this depend on what kind of Offense/Defense you play?

If you use the SF to help cover the interior then ID, REB, SB will be more important, and Steals to help exploit weak low-post Handles. His Stat-Line (defensively, at least) would be much different than if you used a Full Court Press or other Perimeter Pressure Defense, where you basically would like a 3rd Guard on the Court defensively. No Blocks, alot less Rebounds, more steals.

Same for Offense. His style could be banging for Offensive Boards and Put Backs and being an extra Power Forward, or he could extend the Defense with his Range, he could Slash to the Basket... each style means more or less Rebounds, Assists, Points.

What do YOU call a Great SF? Gerald Wallace? Dirk Nowitki? Scottie Pippen (most over-rated player ever)? LeBron James?

Is 30 Points more impressive than 20 Points and 10 Rebounds... or 20 Points, 5 Rebounds and 5 Assists? What about Blocks and Steals? How do that matter in the measure of a SF? Dennis Scott was a really good SF... if you wanted to know you could fill the basket from 30 Feet. Tariq Abdul-Wahad was a great SF... if you wanted to shut down an oppossing Scorer regardless of position (outside of Center).

And since this Play Style is more like College than Pro (with the different Zone and Press Defenses), it really changes the measure. The Height would only matter to which Training you would prefer be faster... Inside or Outside.

Yes i agree with you but i was looking at height regardless of the skills because as i see it a SF would a good SG and a good PF.
It's hard to have a high paying SF/SG and a SF/PF in the same team, not impossible.
I'm not saying it's not important to have an inside SF with great inside def and inside shot but he has to be a good outside defender as well and if he is 208 cm than OD woutd be a hard skill to train.
My point is would my 198 SF be better than the same skilled player with only 193?

PS: i like the part about Scottie), he was over-rated because of playing next to MJ.

Many Chinese managers think 196-206 is the best height for a SF.196-198 is nearly as a Guard,and 201-206 is nearly as a Forward.
