i've seen this a lot of time where the shot clock is already ran out but the clock is still running. for about 10 seconds later, the ball will get stolen by the opponent. is this a bug?

Yeah. Has been reported a few times in the bugs forum. Very annoying when it happens at the end of the game

The one that I hate is when you get the rebound with 10 seconds left(sometimes more or less) and then with 1 second left on the clock it says,"SHOT CLOCK VIOLATION"...how can you get a shot clock violation in 9 seconds.....hahahahahahahaha!!!
Like the old saying....Nothings perfect...

ive always just imagined that this is a point in the game where the ball is in dispute. Loose ball play or two players scrambling for the ball, etc etc, .... and then eventually someone ends up with it (which is the 'steal')

It could be an idea, but I think that if a team has possession, and the other team doesn't gain possession, their shotclock is still running, so it would be a 24-sec violation

BBs told once that only the Viewer has glitches here and there and misrepresents the game state. Meanwhile, the code runs the game just fine. So a couple of things you see in viewer may not even happen.

if the ball is loose the shot clock violation appears in the moment the attacking team get possesion again. So 27 attack leading to a steal or rebound are possible in RL, but also those extra 3 s with tipping and running behind the ball are very rare not to mention a game where those happens 10s+.

Just imagine further and assume BB players just put in MUCH more effort. The scramble for a ball is literally a 10 player scrum fighting for the ball. :P

yer, just imagine that the viewer text is actually the commentary, and the commentator has decided to take a bite of his sandwich or something, and can't talk.

nom nom nom for the 3!
