Okay, I want Drive/Handle/Inside Scoring Players... all over the court. PG, SG, SF, PF, C.

I also want to make sure I have some decent passing at all positions, with the PG and SG having good passing and the SF maybe just behind them... but better than most for my PF and C.

The idea is that any man can find the man in the best position to score and get him the ball. Then that player in the best position can drive and score.

Of course Rebounding will be helpful for Offensive Put Backs (speaking Offensively) and since Guards will be driving to the lane they will get more chances to Rebound so that will be a good secondary to work, but not the main focus right now.

The question is, which offense will promote hard core 'take it to the lane' driving from the most positions?

The point here is that most people won't have all 5 Positions trained to stop Drivers, so there should always be at least on advantage to exploit. Maybe my PG schools the other PG Game 1, then my SF keeps driving Game 2, the C abuses in Game 3... what ever the best match up is.

I still want to build them 'standard' as far as C/PF needs to ID/Rebound/Shot Block, and I understand that I can't over look the all important medium range jumper since you can't always get to the rack even when you drive... but I'm looking for an attacking the basket style. Motion sounded close, but it's designed to pull up for that Medium Jumper... so not exactly what I'm looking for. Patient is what I run now, but I shoot way to many 3's. Is that the right Offense and the guys just aren't good enough to do it yet?

I think that you have a good plan, but before any further plan, you should focus on the present. Then, when your players hace that skills, you worry.

I remember ine fella that asked what to with 3 million bucks, because he thought that that was gping to be his profit for selling his team. Have a plan, sure, but don't woory about it yet.

Besides, it's much easier to plan a strategy with great players. Hope this advise helps!

I'm not sure there's really a single offense that would achieve your goals of game 1-3, where first PG, then SF, then C is "found" as the best matchup. From the description patient might be able to do that, or perhaps the isolation offenses. But I think many people have mixed results with those.

Instead, you might be better served with making your team able to competently run multiple offenses. That way you can either attack your opponent's weakness, while also preventing them from countering your only strength with the correct defense.

As far as attacking the basket the way you describe, you might try low post, or look inside. Although the C and PF will typically be the focus of those offenses, the guards will still contribute, and more of their shots will tend to be drives and inside shots.

One suggestion would be to come up with your desired skillsets, and then enter the skillsets into Coach Parrot to see what type of ratings it spits out for each offense.

Btw, your plan sounds like the perfect setup for the Dribble/Drive offense that Calipari runs at Kentucky. It would be kind of cool to see a Dribble/Drive, or even a Triangle offense implemented by the BBs.

And, also, you could use programs like this http://www.buzzer-manager.com/es/statistiques_equipes/ and see the lienup it's suggested. That could help you too.

But the in some games finding and using a teams weakness is better.

Definitely! If you have a rival who always play 2-3, why not play rng or motion?
