What is the cap on a player with star potential? I know the manual say 35-50k. I was wondering if anyone had more up to date numbers on potential.

It's easier to look at Josef-Ka's formula

I'm not as smart as your average nerd so I'm having trouble understanding any of that. Could use a little help.

Multiply the coefficents (the numbers) by your players skills and add them up. Repeat for all the positions. Whichever is higher is his position. So, whenever his potential by any position formula hits the benchmark for star, he will cap. star has a range, and it could be high or low, you just don't know.

(192823.1) - here you find an excel sheet which calculates it for you, just put in the player skills.

If you are a member of the USA offsite, there's a training planner there which shows you the current potential cap value relative to the guy's potential. And you can play around with changing the skill values and it will update the calculated best position and cap value. Very handy.
