This year's BB finals, and several final rounds prove without a doubt the dominance of the LI MtM tactics. Its not even funny.
National team competitions we also have a few examples of some wacky tactics working out.
.

Wacky tactics? How about this? (16708)? RnG and 21 points difference against LI against world champions :) I think RnG combined with lots of rebounding and good subs (as it is fast tactics that needs more energy) can challenge LI.

Edit. Or you said volume well look at this season Italy's games with RnG against LI and you get volume :) Or look for Hostivar games this season and you see volume of successful Patient against LI.

Actually one would think RnG team is financially more sustainable than a LI one. Outside players with maxed-out skills are cheaper than their inside counterparts. Inside players for RnG would be even more cheaper because they wouldn't need that much IS and instead be strong on outside shooting and passing which doesn't raise the salary of inside players. The problem is to build such a team. You can train inside players for RnG, but where will you get affordable outside ones? And viceversa.

JS/JR doesn't have to be 20/18 I think 17/12 is enough in elite division and you can build sustainable team but what I am seeing from RnG games is that there is some kind of limit of how much 3 points 1 player can score in one game for example a player scores 4 from 5 3 pointers and when he goes for more and in the end his stats are 4 from 12, that's why subs are important because when bring new energy and better 3 pointers percentage shooting and defending LI team can't keep up with extra energy because RnG is faster when LI. If you have PF and C that can shoot from outside it's even bigger threat (remember Thrylos BC center makes 5 3 pointer playing against VS).
