I was hoping we could have a consistent power ranking posted. So I'll start.

I'm new in the league, so I really have no view of who is actually better than whom. Especially when Elypse has a billion dollars in the bank after all of his sales, and will be spending more cash soon.

So, I'm going to make the first power ranking list based purely on salaries. However, I'm only going to include the top 6 salaries per team, just to make it a little more interesting. I think 6 players gives a good gauge of a combination of depth, and star players.

So, without further delay, here are the power rankings, based on salaries (note, if you have players for sale they're included...):

1) Eclypse: $243K
2) Schrodas Shootas: $221K
3) Extra Crispy: $198K
4) Ozark Tigers: $179K
5) Broken Aarow Tornados: $166K
6) Natellio: $164K
7) Updog Brewers: $158K
8) Drons Wolfs: $156K
9) Conneticut Cresleys: $153K
10) Boston Constructs: $147K
11) East Gary Eagle: $141K
12) Lake Charles: $140K
13) 2 Left Feet: $130K
14) Baltimore Barnburners: $124K
15) Steel City Cyborgs: $111K
16) Toronto Traptors: $93K

I'll try and update these every week based on performances. Looking forward to the start of the season.

Salaries are interesting to look at but dont garauntee anything. For example Ozark has two players with huge salaries, but the rest of the team struggles. They finished 5th place last year. Having stars is important but depth is perhaps even more important.

Agree. That's why I used 6 players instead of 2 or 3. But I didn't want use everyone because 1) I didn't have the patience, and 2) some teams have 10-12 players, and some 114-16, which skews the numbers.

Regardless, I just used that as a starting point. Going forward, it will be based on results, PD, and enthusiasm.

Power Rankings

After 2 games, a lot is still unclear. But, there's at least something to go by more than just salary. Below are the power rankings, sorted by 1) Team's Average Rating; 2) Record; and 3) PD. The average rating is done by averaging each rating on a per game basis, and then averaging the games. I take the base rating (for example, average=6, respectable=7) and use the secondary as a decimal (low = .25, medium= .5, high= .75). Still doesn't tell the whole story, but we're getting there...

1) Exclpze (6.854, 2-0, +14): He has the roster, and they're playing well. Good purchases and he'll be tough to beat.
2) Extra Crispy (6.479, 1-1, +16): Tough away game vs. Ozark, but played with lower ENTH.
3) Natellio (6.417, 2-0, +27): Shocked that my rating is 3rd. I'll take it! Glad I'll at least be competitive.
4) Updog Brewers (6.333, 2-0, +21): Good win away, with equal ENTH, against last year's runner-up.
5) Schrodas Shootas (6.313, 2-0, +33): The early favorite hasn't disappointed. Looks strong.
6) Broken Aarow Tornados (6.292, 0-2, -5): Could very easily be 2-0. Got caught on TIE last game at home.
7) 2 Left Feet (6.271, 1-1, -1): Ratings look good, but had a tough game @Shrodas.
8) Ozark Tigers (6.208, 1-1, +3): A little one dimensional, but will always have the best inside numbers.
9) Toronto Traptors (6.065, 0-2, -29): Two tough opening games, but the rating is ok and the enth should be building.
10) Drons Wolfs (6.063, 1-1, -2): Has played with higher ENTH both games. Staying very competitive.
11) East Gary Eagles (6.063, 1-1, -14): Had a tough away opener with lower ENTH, but is back on track.
12) Boston Constructs (5.938, 1-1, +17): Put more into last game than the Eagles and still lost by double digits. Great opening game keeps him up high in the early standings.
13) Lake Charles Creoles (5.917, 0-2, -20): Last season's runner up is struggling early.
14) Conneticut Cresleys (5.875, 2-0. +34): This is where the ratings may fail. Cresleys are killing teams early, but with low ratings. But has normaled both games.
15) Baltimore Barnburners (5.646, 0-2, -32): Look to need some help early on.
16) Steel City Cyborgs (4.792, 0-2, -60): Doesn't look like they can compete yet and will need some help.

**Just edited the ratings format to give more emphasis on the secondary ratings. Rather average (high) being 6.3 and respectable (low) being 7.1, it is now 6.75 and 7.25, respectively. The smaller difference should have a better reflection on actual performance. It did slightly change the rankings.

Very interesting system, looks as though it took some work, not to mention a bit of time, to figure it all out. Nicely done, hope to see more in the future.

Power Rankings

After 4 games, my ratings method seems to be taking a little more shape. There's only a couple teams who's ratings aren't reflecting their records, and it's pretty easy to identify them. The two early favorites have nabbed the top two spots, and people like me are beginning to fall. After four games, here we go:

1) Eclypze (6.625, 4-0, +67) Front Runner. Cruising early.
2) Schrodas Shootas (6.528, 4-0, +61) Slowly made their way up the ratings, but all we knew this was a great team.
3) Extra Crispy (6.513, 2-2, +16) The record will keep getting better, strong team.
4) Natellio (6.458, 3-1, +53) Layed an egg in Toronto. Good game, sir.
5) East Gary Eagles (6.416, 3-1, +36) Consistent.
6) Broken Aarow Tornados (6.291, 2-2, +96) Well that must have been fun. Picking on a rebuilding team...
7) Lake Charles Creoles (6.278, 0-4, -47) Still losing with high ratings. Still waiting for a rebound...
8) Updog Brewers (6.222, 4-0, +46) How does it feel to be behind a team without a win? Can't really explain this... Sorry.
9) Toronto Traptors (6.166, 2-2, -16) Beat me with a lower rating, and lower salaries. And I was never in it after the 1 quarter. Well done.
10) 2 Left Feet (6.139, 2-2, +17) Strong win. Cyborgs stuggling.
11) Conneticut Cresleys (5.806, 2-2, +10) Brought it all to no avail... Bold to CT in an away game.
12) Drons Wolfs (5.791, 2-2, -27) Normal was no help against the Eagles.
13) Ozark Tigers (5.723, 1-3, -44) Will struggle until the big guy is healthy.
14) Baltimore Barnburners (5.513, 0-4, -75) It's no fun playing Elcypze.
15) Boston Constructs (5.125, 1-3, -90) Interesting. We'll see where he shapes up after the restructuring, but he seems to be in the mood to relegate.
16) Steel City Cyborgs (4.82, 0-4, -103) Made a couple sales, so maybe help is on the way.

rough rankings.... behind a 0-4 team, and a team that I beat.... no way Lake Charles will be in relegation zone come season end... but i think you ratings system may be a bit flawed

i do like the rankings still though.... unique to see this level of analysis

ozark - sorry for hurting your other best player.... its gonna be a rough 2 weeks for you with both your top guys out, which was basically your whole two man team to begin with.
