Looks great. Well planned and organised. Will you also be continuing the weekly press releases? I liked them a lot. So far it looks like you are doing a great job EXCEPT not playing Konoe. After 4 seasons of training him so he can help our nation, getting him the 4th highest salary on the team, with the 2nd highest DMI on the team, it is a big let down to not even be on the team for the game tonight. You do know scrimmages also count for rankings? Why wouldn't you play our second best player? You could have used this game to test lineups and tactics.

Yes they do! This is from the game manual I just added the bold.

Rankings
The world championships aren't the only way that national teams can compete for status. For every national team game that gets played, some number of ranking points get distributed between the participants. Even scrimmages are worth something, but the bigger the game, the more points get handed out. All ranking points that national teams receive, they keep for 28 weeks (i.e., two seasons). Points expire on a rolling basis.

I'm really not trying to cause trouble here and not looking for a fight. I am just sticking up for my player as any coach would do. Here is a quote from the Guide + FAQ:

Your team makes quite a sacrifice when training a NT player but it can usually be forgiven once you have your final product. I don’t think there’s anything more rewarding in this game than training up a great national team player!

And nothing less rewarding than after you have done all that to be left off the team.

The thing is everyone plays this game in a different way with different ideas of what success means. For you that means winning the JBBL. I will never do that so my whole team has revolved around having and training local players so they can be on the NT and represent. Looks like this week for some reason I have failed.

I accept the fact that Atsuyoshi Kyubei who is about the same standard as Makoto Asada and Takao Shiomi and probably better than 6 others who are on the team, has been left off. Even though he would have the 5th best DMI if he was on the team and managers who look after their players game shape should be rewarded and their players will perform better than those that don't. I accept that for whatever reason he misses out and as a result I have stopped training him.

But why play weak players in horrible game shape and not good players in good game shape? It makes no sense to me.

I admit I am 100% just promoting my own player. My bias is clear and I don't deny it. I am biased!

Konoe's resume.

But here are some facts:
salary 4th
current DMI 2nd

Recent performances:
(After the last tournnment game last season all the 21s were let go and the 20s ran the team)

Nippon U21 vs. Prathet Thai U21 116 - 127 (16832)
3rd top score 2nd top assists 3rd top rating.

Senegal U21 vs. Nippon U21 105 - 112 (16879)
3rd top score 2nd top assists 2nd top rating.

India U21 vs. Nippon U21 89 - 105 (16930)
2nd top score 3rd top assists 3rd top rating.

México U21 vs. Nippon U21 108 - 110 (16999)
Top score top assists 3rd top rating.

10/31/2011 9:00:00 PM 58 Nippon U21 127 - 104 (Replay) 57 Macau U21 Nippon SC
Bugged can't see this one.

Nippon U21 vs. Macau U21 127 - 104 (17058)
Top score 4th top assists 2nd top rating.

Azərbaycan U21 vs. Nippon U21 77 - 91 (17458)
1 bad game but was matched against a $47,000 monster SG.

Except for that one game against the $47,000 monster where he did get owned he has been a consistent top 3 performer for the team. Wolph has already said he plans to bench him. Now he is dropping him altogether.
