This week I got a Superior Trainer hoping for a little speed up in training. I am training Outside Shooting this week. But I planned on training IS and ID the rest of the season hoping to get him to maybe 10/10 IS/ID by season's end. I know a solid SF is hard to come by and his guard skills are solid for a U21 SF. How should I train him this season and next to have a shot at the U21? Be honest, if he has no chance then just tell me how to train him to fit my team long term. I plan on winning after this season but I am concentrating on my 3 trainees only the rest of the season and I am going to use those 3 as my base for a while anyway and I have 1 Mil+ saved to put some big guys around them down the road.

I would say that's a good plan for this season. If you have time at the end I would push passing. Next season you could continue passing along with 1v1 for forwards and ID.

The plan to get to 10/10 IS/ID is solid. After that, he could definitely use a bump in both PA and RB. Maybe try to get those both up to 8+? After that, I'd say he would look pretty good for U21 and you'd probably want to do some rounding out. Add in some DR, pump up both OD and ID a bit, maybe another point or two in JS and some more PA... It's mostly just giving your guy a skill set that fits into your team concept at that point.

Thanks guys. I will take that advice. I trained him OD last week without getting a pop so maybe he is close to popping there for when i decide to do it. I just think he can be a solid, unique type player. I know he will never be US team material because his potential will hold him back but I at least want to push for a U21 spot even if it is just 1 game.
