I don't feel that the random pops in cross training are worth the slow down in the target areas.
First off, I don't seem to get enough random pops, almost none in fact.
The slow down really hurts.
Makes me think it would just be worth more not to train
except it is one of the more fun aspects of this game.
Still
consider price of trainer and his salary
price of buying trainees
price of scouting that sometimes seems random itself with what you get
You would be better off just buying a finished prodcut every season or 2

how should we help you?

Btw, a random pop should appear to a player every 20 weeks, since it is just 10% of normal training and also the slowdown cost you a full pop guess what every 20 weeks even when this could be predicted better since the training goes always to the same skill.

I think the cross training addition is a great thing. People were training like idiots. We see those unevenly trained players retireing every week. Oh I just train JS 3 seasons or train just 2 skills on the big man, nomatter the fact that all upper skills are black/darkblue. If you think training is not worth it, then don't train. If plenty of people stop training, it will get profitable again. It's good to buy some complete players and give them additional training. But the best is to draft a decent mouldable draftee, focus your training around his needs and create a player for positions that are harder to fill from the TL (SF,PF). The additional merch is a great bonus. When you have completed your starter or sub (whichever you feel is necessary for your team). Rince and repeat!

I train evenly trained players
but what used to be 2 weeks for OD noe means just short
that means a whole extra week sometimes
and the same for other pops
the randoms aren't always useable for what you're training
I won't give it up because it's fun
just more frustrating now

I'm training quite evenly too... which is slow but the effects are showing.

Granted, this is against very poor competition, but 2 trainees in tonight's game:

6k salary 25 pts, 17 reb, 10 stl, 3 blk
5k salary 16 pts, 18 reb, 8 stl, 4 blk, 7 ast

2-3 more years for these guys and they will be trouble, cross-training or no.

Yea, some random pops are useless. Say a PG pops in ID from atrocious to pitiful. I doubt that makes his any more balanced then he already was.

yes, but we have all seen those annoying(to say the least) players on the TL and even in our drafts. I mean common, i had a 5/5 center 221, and he had 3 atrocious skills. And we all know how those manifest. Guys with atrocious passing, never hit a pass, guys with atrocious FT never hit a FT(and with pitiful they hit about 30%), i think it matters. Plus, if you are an intensive training manager, just like we see triple and quadruple drops in skills, maybe someday you will see like a quadruple pop... wouldn't that give you a heart attack?

true a pitiful FT guy can hit 50% regularly but a atrocious will hit 0 %.

so probably the same theory applies to JS and JR as well.

thats why it is good to have Cross training so that an lowest of low atrocious guy wont be hitting 0% which is unrealistic when your paid money to play basketball.
