well i suggest buying 2players and build from theire// i did just that. buy a few trainers with skills to train your players. . I honestly think playing exp is very important. players with good exp are good for new team well a young team any way.

I suggest just buying two very good player and build around them and cut the old player with low exp.. get a few trainers that are very good. the rest i dont becuase im in same boat

the way to get better is to sell all ur high salary players
get ur totat salary to the salary flood
finish 8 and get the lottery pick
if the is repomotion from bot clean up u can get a promotion 150K right away

in the mean while focus on your young trainee

I am also in my first season in Div IV and I started out with the same problem. I started out 1-3 but have managed to work my way up to 4-4 in 5th place. I have been keeping a close on the transfer market and I have managed to buy 4-6 cheap older players with talent. I have kept a close eye on game shape and have just been training 3 small players with hopes of them being decent for next season.

I know it is impossible to win out this year so I am working on my trainees and now starting to save up to buy 1-2 very high skilled players to make a run next year. This season I am hoping to squeek out 5th place for the hopes of not moving down.

Or you could buy one really old SG with really amazing Shooting skills. I'm in my first season and I went out and bought a 31 year old SG with amazing JS and JR but had no defense (Made him much cheaper because of his age and bad defense. Just make sure your other guard and your SF have good outside D)Then play patient as your offensive tactic and he'll be a scoring machine. My SG averages 40+ PPG
