When is it better to use which one. I know this has probably been on here a million times but my PG has horrible Inside shot. He is a scorer and a pure passer. But I have bigs who can score with the best of them. Which would be the better tactic?

The only diff is the pace. The faster the pace the faster the players will be tired and thus stamina will decrease faster. Try princeton which focuses on perimeter shooting and insidw shots not or just plain old base offense

I don't agree that the only differences between LP and LI are the pace.

I think that in LI, the offensive flow of the team is very strongly determined by the PG, especially his passing and handling. In LP, there's more involvement of each of the players, and so I think it works a bit better if your passing and handling is good team wide. I also think there is a slightly higher number of shots taken by the big men in LI compared to LP.

So, if you are stuck with an atrocious inside shot guard, but you are set on playing an inside tactic, I'd likely go LI, as long as that guy has decent passing.

One difference I've noticed is with respect to aggression. In LI, the players of paint tend to be more aggressive making more fouls, including offensive fouls.

Anyone else think the same?

I believe that is 70% right. With fast pace you get more possesions and take more risks. So, you'll get more of everything: fouls, shots, turnovers. If your team is better, you'll get more points, rebounds, etc. If not, you'll get more points... in your basket =)

Yeah, all of the fast paced tactics tend to lead to more fouls, though perhaps LI a bit moreso.

I agree with this.

having recently moved over from Low post to LI, my SF and SG were getting in on the action a lot, both with regards to passing/shots.
With LI, its a bit more simple PG-passes to your best inside guy. score. so your PG ends up with the assists.

Also with regards to Low post, if your bigs have good passing, then they tend to also get more assists, and are willing to pass it back out. Ive noticed a difference in this as well.

Low post also seems to get more contained by a 2-3 zone, as opposed to LI. In my opinion of course :)
